Jodi Russ only had to bide her time for her mother to step down to take over as Head Librarian at the New Bedford library. Despite planning a coup for nearly 14 years, the wily librarian only had to wait for her mother to retire. Let us all learn from this: All you have to do is wait and empires will crumble.
In all serious, we hope this dynasty continues. Congrats to Russ and we hope she has a long and fulfilling career. But watch your back. There's always another waiting in the wings.
